My wedding photographer did the most amazing job!

After spending months choosing all the right colors, metals, florals, table cloths, and jewelry to compliment each other, I am so glad that Katie captured it all so well!

I am so excited to get to share it with all of you!

The STeps

I began my wedding planning journey from the moment I went to pick out my engagement ring with the idea in my head that I DID NOT want gold. It wasn't until I put the first ring on my hand that I fell in love with the color gold. It turned into the perfect warm base for my summer wedding (and all of my apartment decor!)

Once I had my heart set on gold, I knew I wanted lavender flowers. While my original intention was stems of dried lavender, that proved to be harder than I thought it would be and I decided to keep the cost low and go with artificial florals. I hopped on the Ling's Moment website and found the perfect lavender and gold bouquet! All of my florals came from Ling's Moment and they were perfect.

Once I had chosen the flowers, it was time to choose one more color to tie it all together. I had seen a photo on Pinterest of lavender flowers and a sage bridesmaid dress that caught my eye. After having my bridesmaids try on both lavender and sage dresses, I decided that the bouquets would pop so much more against the sage dresses and so that became my third color.

The Gold Elements

The gold details are some of my favorite parts about my wedding day, from our rings, to Caleb's watch, to my tiara, and to the small golden heart in my bouquet that allowed my brother to be with me on my wedding day.

I would be lying if I said our wedding day was easy, but the small reminder of Holden every time the I looked down was enough to get me through the day.

The Florals

I am so happy that our florals from Ling's Moment just so happened to have the gold elements already in them! It was like they were made for my wedding. I did embellish the throwing bouquet (caught by my sister-in-law, Carissa!) with some gold butterflies as well as the centerpiece of each table. I love gold butterflies and they just found their way into the wedding decor (you can even see them on my cake behind the bouquet).

The Decorations

I loved everything about our wedding decor. The sage table runners, floral centerpieces with sparkly gold candles and gold butterflies, the cake table with sparkly gold letters, the giant sparkly "MOORE" on the guest book table! If you can't already tell, I love gold glitter! Our colors worked together to fill the reception hall with a soft, warm, springy feeling (though our wedding was in the summer).

Hopefully you found something to inspire you on your wedding planning journey here!
